Our Story
Homeowners Deserve a Better Construction Experience
5 Stones Renovation was founded on a simple belief: homeowners deserve a better construction experience.
For founder Joshua Ingram, that belief came from a lifetime around construction and more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
Several of those years were spent working in commercial construction, where Joshua saw firsthand what happened when projects were thoroughly planned before construction began.
Detailed drawings. Clear scopes of work. Specifications. Schedules. Trade coordination. Decisions made before crews arrived on site.
The project wasn’t being figured out while it was being built.
And that raised a question that would eventually help shape 5 Stones Renovation:
Why shouldn’t homeowners expect that same level of planning and professionalism when renovating or building their home?
That idea became the foundation of the way we build today.

Too often, residential construction starts before the project itself has been fully defined.
Selections are still being made. Details remain unresolved. Allowances are being used as placeholders. And homeowners can find themselves making expensive decisions after construction has already begun.
We wanted to approach things differently.
That’s why 5 Stones Renovation operates as a Design-Build company.
We bring design, selections, budgeting, planning, trade coordination, procurement, and construction together as one connected process.
Our goal is to answer as many questions as possible while changes can still be made on paper, not after walls have been opened.
It requires more work before construction begins.
We believe that’s exactly where the work belongs.

Joshua Ingram
Founder & CEO, 5 Stones Renovation
I’ve spent most of my life around construction, and one thing I’ve learned is that craftsmanship alone doesn’t make a great project.
A great project starts long before construction.
It starts with listening to the client, understanding what they’re trying to accomplish, developing the right design, working through the details, and making sure the scope and budget actually align.
That’s the kind of company I wanted 5 Stones Renovation to become.
I don’t want our clients wondering what’s happening next. I don’t want important decisions being made in the middle of construction because nobody addressed them beforehand. And I don’t believe in putting an artificially low number in front of someone just to get a contract signed.
I’d rather have an honest conversation early, even when it’s a difficult one.
When someone hires 5 Stones, they’re trusting us with their home, their money, and often something they’ve spent years thinking about. I take that responsibility personally.
My goal is pretty simple.
Do the homework. Communicate clearly. Build something we’re proud to put our name on.
